It does launch the screen saver, but it does not require a password. OK, I am losing my mind here.I have set up GP to turn on screen saver after 10 minutes, and to password protect. How do you get windows to require a password after timeout? Windows.Please provide me with any advice or suggestions. I am confused as to what might be causing this issue. Some users receive the location is not available error when they try to connect the NAS device, but if they wait a min or two and try again it will connect. I have tried remapping users and it will work for a bit and then loose connection after a short time and the user will have to wait a few mins for it to reconnect. I have assigned the NAS device to our DC, entered in our NetBIOS name, as well as our Domain FQDN. I have all of our local DNS servers listed and management mode is set to Trusted Domain. I have confirmed that the NAS device is connected to our domain and when I perform the Domain Status Check I get the errors listed below in the image. The users experience lost connections and delay when they try to access the NAS or it shows not connected in windows explorer. The last few days our Synology NAS has been having issues maintain a connection when mapped to windows devices.
